AI Policy
Last reviewed: November 7, 2026
Readers deserve to know how books published under the Jessie Clark name are made.
Writing and editing
We use generative AI to explore ideas, develop outlines, generate draft prose, and support revision and editing. This includes generating text, rather than only checking spelling or grammar. The publishing team directs the work, makes editorial decisions, and takes responsibility for what is published. AI output needs checking for accuracy, consistency, and suitability for readers.
Covers, audio, and promotion
AI may also be used for cover imagery, illustrations, marketing copy, and promotional images, audio, or video. Some audio productions may use synthetic narration or an authorized AI voice. Methods vary by title and edition; synthetic performances should not be represented as recordings by a human narrator. Contact us through this website with the title and format if you have questions about a particular edition.
Translations
Our published books are not currently translated into other languages. We do not currently use AI to publish translations.
Responsibility and disclosure
We are responsible for what we publish. This page supplements, rather than replaces, title-specific information and any disclosures required by publishing platforms. We respect readers and creators who make different choices about AI.
Our work and AI training
Publishing our work online is not an invitation to use it for AI training. Please contact us about permission and terms before using our material for that purpose. This statement does not mean technical controls can prevent every third-party use.
Updates and questions
We will review this policy when our practices change and at least annually. Questions are welcome through this website's contact page.
